I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC NO. PYL32808) with a doctorate from Lancaster University, now working in private practice with a focus on delivering high-quality, meaningful psychological assessment and support. My approach is grounded in the belief that assessments should be more than diagnostic—they should be holistic, insightful, and empowering, helping individuals make sense of their strengths and challenges in real, practical ways.
My career began working with looked-after children and supporting young people with additional needs in both mainstream and specialist educational settings. Since qualifying, I have developed extensive experience in neurodevelopmental assessment, neuropsychology, and complex mental health, working with both children and adults across diverse clinical contexts.
I have particular expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of autism, having worked in multiple autism services, including Principal Psychologist roles, where I led on assessment pathways for individuals across the lifespan. I am trained in the ADI-R and ADOS, and bring experience in ADHD assessment within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), including use of the QbTest. I’ve also developed post-diagnostic pathways for both autism and ADHD, supporting individuals and families to better understand their neurodivergence and access meaningful, tailored support.
My doctoral research focused on adults’ experiences of neuropsychological assessment, and I’ve worked post-qualification in neuropsychology services. I have also held Principal Psychologist positions in a variety of services, leading on assessment, formulation and intervention across the lifespan.
In addition to assessment, I am trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and the DBT Prolonged Exposure protocol. I have worked as part of a full DBT team and developed a DBT programme within a private hospital, supporting individuals with complex trauma, attachment-related difficulties, and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Separately, I have worked in Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient settings, supporting young people with acute and complex mental health needs, as well as in outpatient services for adults.
Alongside my clinical work, I have experience in supervision, staff training, and consultation. I support professionals and teams to develop their skills and confidence, promote reflective practice, and enhance the quality of psychological services.
Across all areas of my work, I strive to offer thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-based input—supporting people to feel understood and empowered to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, I have a deep passion for horses and being outdoors. I’m naturally active! I find that the mindful, non-verbal connection with horses and nature offers a unique sense of calm and presence.
