Home Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a comprehensive psychotherapy (eight phase treatment) aimed at processing and recovering from past experiences that impact on your wellbeing, particularly to help people who havePost Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). People who have PTSD may experience intrusive thoughts, , poor sleep, distressing memories, nightmares or flashbacks of the traumatic events in their past.  EMDR helps the brain reprocess memories of the traumatic event and reduce the intensity of the symptoms. A course of treatment is likely to be 8 to 12 sessions depending on the collaborative treatment plan and individual presentation.
